The Hubbards Farmers’ Market at the Barn is a weekend morning must do. While listening to live music, select from a wide assortment of succulent cheeses, breads, seafood, preserves, sweets, organic produce, and much more. Talented artisans are also there offering jewellery, pottery, photography, metalwork, and leather creations, to name a few. A trip on the Tancook Ferry offers fantastic views of Chester harbour. You can stay on board for the 16-kilometre (10-mile) round trip, or get off on Big Tancook Island and return later. Lobstermen Tours in Lunenburg offers tours on an actual lobster fishing boat, which is converted into a tour boat for the summer. The tours will give you a great view of Lunenburg’s historic waterfront and take you out to the lobster fishing grounds. The crew will teach you about the industry as they haul up lobster traps. History and Tranquility Designed for Children

The DesBrisay Museum is home to one of Canada’s oldest historical museum collections. The child focused interactive exhibits feature the natural history, early settlement, and cultural and industrial growth of Bridgewater and surrounding areas from the early 17th century. The museum is part of the Bridgewater Woodland Gardens and next door to the Bridgewater Swimming Pool.
